DRIVER IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

When the unfortunate happens and you are in danger of losing your license or driving privileges due to traffic violations, our Driver Improvement Program (DIP) can help you get back on track.

This course helps you earn a completion certificate that may allow you to keep your license or even lower your insurance rates.
If the court has ordered you to complete a Driver Improvement Program, Alcantara Driving School will guide you through every step until you regain your license and driving privileges.

Program Details

Online Classroom

Our online classroom consists of 10 sessions, each with a short review at the end.
When you complete the review at the end of the 10th session, you’ll finish the online classroom requirements.

💻 Online Course Fee: Free to study online
🧾 Certificate Fee: $130 (paid in person at Alcantara Driving School)

To receive your completion certificate, you must pass a short final test (average time: 10–15 minutes).
If you fail the test, you can retake it by paying a $10 retest fee.

Within 24 hours after you pass the final exam, Alcantara Driving School will electronically submit your completion to the MVA, and it will appear on your driving record.

If your driving privileges are currently suspended, please contact the MVA to confirm your reinstatement before driving.

In-Person Classes

Prefer learning in person? We also offer Driver Improvement Program (DIP) classes at our Silver Spring location.

🕐 Schedule: Saturdays from 1 PM – 7 PM
💵 Fee: $140

✅ Requirements: Bring a valid identification when registering
